This is my first amazon review but this product made me write one. I put the thing together in less than an hour, great instructions and everything just worked. It looks nice and the computer is really easy to use. The top thing however, must be the sound. Sitting next to the bike whilst my wife uses it i can still hear the tv fine without turning it up. I know other people have complained about this on ther bikes but it is nearly silent. Couldn’t be happier with the bike, but just a word about amazon. I ordered the thing yesterday afternoon and it arived today. I didn’t even pay for quick delivery, it was standard.
Arrived 2 days before it was expected, easy to assemble, sturdy, as comfortable as could be expected for an instrument of torture.
A handy bit of kit to keep you in shape, it has loads of different settings and easy to use. The seat could be more comfortable but you get used to it after a while. Here are the specifications for the York Fitness Perform 210 Exercise Bike:
- 32 Levels of touch button resistance
- Hand pulse sensors
- 19 Workout programs, including 4 HRC
- The left pedal screws in anti-clockwise, which is the opposite direction to what one may expect
Good and could so easily be great. I was attracted to this bike because of its generous user weight limit and the need to get some aerobic fitness back. I have now had it a few weeks and thought it was worth a review. As usual city link screwed the delivery but that’s another review. It comes in a large heavy box, i managed it easily but am also large and heavy, there are hand cut outs in the box that should make it a dream for two people to lift. Tools and fittings are all supplied shrink wrapped on a card, the tool quality is more than good enough for assembly and takes about 30mins with a cup of tea to hand. The bike is solidly built and almost noiseless in use. The computer is not as robust as commercial machines but then this won’t be used 16 hrs a day by all and sundry, as a home machine it’s very good plenty of programs and the pulse monitor has worked well. For someone as unfit as me the pedal action is smooth and there is plenty of resistance to go. I anticipate it being quite a while before it becomes easy.
York perform 210 exercise bike. Full range of adjustments for small to large user. Rugged (will take up to 150kg person). Good documentation both with the product and on york’s web site, (often not the case with many other exercise bikes). Overall have been very happy with this product.
Reviews from purchasers :
- A solid bike, bit more instructions would be nice though
- It’s a good exercise bike without doubt
- Good value for money
After reviewing many and not really knowing what one to go for we choose this one and i am glad we did. It was easy to put together, solid and very quiet when you are using it. Lots of options for programmes.
Best thing i’ve ever bought. I bought my york 210 in november 2013’s black friday sales for around £160 and it has probably been my best purchase to date. Although i have given it 5 stars it does have some major faults but for what i paid, definitely worth it. First of all, it’s incredibly heavy so worth unboxing at the door and moving the individual pieces instead to your chosen room. Assembly wasn’t too bad – the worst part was putting the straps on the pedals so make sure you’re happy with the length before securing the other side as they are not easy to adjust once on – another pair of hands is always handy if available. Mine did actually arrive broken – one of the covers for the feet which had a lot of sharp plastic so ended up sellotaping that on – not a huge problem. Getting started on the bike, you can have 4 different people using it. Each can enter height, weight, sex and age which is required if you want an accurate calorie count etc which a lot of other bikes don’t include. You’ve then got various modes to choose from – manual to intervals with 32 levels of resistance. If you are a beginner, start out on level 1.
