Need a clear head for the assembly. Heavily greased crossbar needs poly gloves to handle – keep it in its plastic bag until actually required. Various people have tried it – all think its excellent. One bad design/thing to watch – the power supply jack sticks out and is very easily caught by heel if you get off backwards – its toast if you tread on it – so be careful. I have put a floor-standing cover over it to give it some protection whilst i sort out a 90 degree jack.
Wanted some home equipment rather than trailing to the gym. Great value, sturdy and easy to put together.
I have used and bought many cross trainers over the years and i must say, this is probably one of the best i have used (besides the gym standard one’s). Fairly simple to put together, although it does need two people. Works fantastically well and level 8 is pretty strong. As i broke my leg (tibia – stress fracture) earlier this year and was unable to run, this has been great to use in the meantime, to keep my fitness levels up and very low impact on joints and the broken leg. Also great to use as additional training for cycling as it really helps to strengthen the hamstrings when pedaling backwards. I highly recommend this product. I don’t think it is necessary to buy the mat they suggest with it, i used an old yoga mat i had and that works fine. It is fairly heavy to move around, so make sure you put it in the place where you are going to use it. Also, as i am 6ft tall, this is perfectly adequate for me in size and height. Wow, this is perfect for me. Very good size for the home and packed with functions/programs. Works perfectly and you really feel it this will be an excellent addition to my health regime.
A women by myself was easy enough. Only gave 4 stars as a 5ft 5 thinks the stride really isn’t very long but still does what i needed it for. Its smooth and very quiet and able to use while baby sleeps.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Sturdy & Well Designed
- Excellent product
- A few teething problems.
Easy to assemble, super clear instructions and competent supplied tools. You will however require a hammer for slight tapping in of the centre bar. Great to use too but will not suit anyone over say 5’8′ which i believe is somewhat mentioned in the item description.
This product was great for just under 2 years at which point it. This product was great for just under 2 years at which point it began glitching without warning and within a couple of week of that starting it became unuseable. During use the monitor cuts out entirely, stops all friction, and takes you back to the start screen. This happens after a minute or two of use. I priced a repair from york and a screen alone costs over £100 with delivery with no guarantee thats even the issue. The stride length is also very short so i always felt it wasn’t as beneficial as a cross trainer should be. That being said, originally it functioned as it should and worked very well,it frequently creaked during use but was great otherwise and i enjoyed using it. I did expect an item of this cost to have a shelf life of over 2 years though especially as it was used quite sparingly over time so i wouldn’t buy one again personally but wouldn’t necessarily not recommend it to anyone else either as i didnt have any issues with it prior to that 2 year breakdown and it wasn’t a bad little machine besides.
