I’ve been a regular gym user for the past 25 years and have only used the concept2 design of rower. I didn’t have £800+ to spend so did lots of research before deciding what to buy. Having read all the reviews i was still pleasantly surprised at the quality of this rower. It is well built and sturdy. I managed to unpack and put together on my own in under a couple of hours. I am used to rowing on level 10 on the concept design but i still find this rower harder. Having read some of the other reviews about it not being hard enough, maybe i have put it together incorrectly. It certainly gives me an excellent workout and i would say i’m fairly fit.
Great but needs a softer landing when you hit the top when retracting (does that make sense?) – there is a little bar underneath that stops you going all the way to the top. Put something rubber on this to make the landing soft. Also – would be great to have some gears.

Product works fine and easy to use with good display feedback. Pruduct was delivered on time, assembly was a little tricky as i have big hands so needed a little assistance to speed up the process but i dont think its impossible for one person to put it together. Product works fine and easy to use with good display feedback. Im 6’2 and its just about ok for my height but if your taller it may be an issue. And to those who rated the product down for the noisy, its a air ressistance machine, what did you expect.
One of the best things i have bought. I shopped around before buying this rowing machine and i must say i’m perfectly happy with it 4 weeks on. I do 300+ strokes before breakfast and another 300+ strokes in the evening and sometimes in the afternoon. I’ve set it up in a spare bedroom and watch tv with a headphones whilst exercising because the fan is quite loud. I’m just in the recommended maximum weight for this rower (115kg) and it started creaking quite badly to start with, i re-tightened all the nuts with the supplied tools, especially the ones at the back and now all that creaking has gone. Overall this rowing machine is unbeatable value for the price which is nearly a fifth of the price of a concept2. I’m new to this sort of exercise but i’ve found that i actually look forward to it whilst watching the news.
I have just put this rower together today and i’m very happy with the build quality, for the price it’s superb. I then decided to give the rower a work out and to my surprise it was excellent . The resistance got harder the more i pulled, i’m 15st and would say i’m quite strong in my arms but this machine put me through my paces. After 20 minutes i was soaking with sweat and my upper body was tired. I’m very pleased with this machine at the moment and i will gradually build my distance and time up. Great buy and quick delivery via amazon.
V-fit Tornado Air Rower : Good if you’re tall (provided you). I’m 6’5″, and this rower has been fine for me, once i removed a seemingly pointless nut and bolt near the back of the main shaft (visible on the picture, about 15cm in from the back of it) that the seat otherwise banged against each time i pushed back. (by the way, i know that ‘removing a nut and bolt’ seems pretty dumb advice, but it really doesn’t have a purpose- it’s not actually holding 2 bits together or anything. )anyway, i’ve had it for 6 months, it’s still good, it’s my first rower so i’m not sure how the noise compares to others (but i wasn’t expecting it to be quiet), and it’s helped get me fit, which is what really counts. If you’re gonna spend this kind of money though, i would definitely recommend you also spend a little on some noise reduction headphones to listen to an ipod/watch a dvd while you use it, as it’s so loud that you’d need very understanding neighbours if you intend to turn tv up loud enough to hear it over the rower.
