V-Fit MXC1 Folding X Frame Magnetic Cycle : Does the job and is great for saving space

Works well for the price, folds small. The v-fit does work well for the price, is sturdy and folds up quite small. My only quibble is that it would be nice to know if i was cycling in kilometers or miles, no info in the box or with the monitor.

Easy to build, very quiet and good resistance. Have just set up and used bike and am already impressed with how quiet it is- would be no problems to put the tv on whilst using it. Very easy to build, took me about 15 minutes. It folds quite flat- and can easily be placed in an out of the way corner somewhere. The resistance provides a good workout- especially after prolonged periods of time- would take a little time to build up to the highest resistance- unless you’re a daily intensive cyclist. The monitor is quite rudimentary therefore no messing about with dozens of buttons whilst focusing on workout, only issue is that after placing the batteries in the monitor, the back lid wouldnt close completely- so ive just added some sticky tape to make sure it doesnt come off. But not really a big issue all in all. Am very happy with purchase. Maybe slightly more expensive than it needs to be- but the bike works well and you get what you need from it- a good workout without the noise. Would recommend to friends and family.

Not as good as you would think from the reviews. . First of costbiter who i bought this from where great, i bought it about 7. 30pm they were on the phone saying i would have it next day. Now first off i have never been to a gym so don’t really have any experience of other bikes apart from the odd 10 minute go here and there so for all i know (though i expect not) the issues may be the same with all x frame bikes. The seat is unconfortable but fortunately it doesn’t seem to get much more uncomfortable but a new saddle or a cushion is probably a must. The resistance may as well not be there. It came on the highest setting so when i assembled it (wich was very easy) and gave it a quick go i thought it was set on low but couldn’t go up. Every couple of pedal rotations you are reminded that the resistance wheel is not round. This is only a small thing and certainly doesn’t stop you using the bike. The bike is very quiet and is ideal for use whilst watching the tv. I would recommend this bike but only on the understanding that you are buying a cheap bike and it will not replace a proper bike.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Very good quality
  • Thought it looked good value so if it lasted a few months that
  • Does the job and is great for saving space

Very sturdy, easy to assemble and to work with.

Most things on this exercise bike are fine, except the saddle. And as it is fitted using some bolts, you cannot even swap it with a normal bike saddle. But it is easy to set up with the supplied spanner.

I keep coming back to this bike having bought a couple of inferior ones. Yes the resistance is not what you get from a gymbike, but it’s reasonable for a casual home exercise. My experience is that after a couple of years the belt goes, but frankly the other bikes i’ve tried in this price range have rarely lasted 6 months. If you want a gym bike join a gym or pay £400.

      1. Thought it looked good value so if it lasted a few months that. Bought this for my wife after a hip operation. Thought it looked good value so if it lasted a few months that would be good enough. However the product is exceptionally well made and will last for years. Strong frame, takes up a small amount of floor space so no need to put away. Arrived fast and easy to set up.

A good enough exercise bike at an affordable price. It assembles in minutes and can be put away easily when not in use.

Looks and feels like one you’d find in a gym. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this bike, looks and feels like one you’d find in a gym. Also, nice and quiet when watching or reading while you peddle. Instructions are easy to follow too so all in all a great value for money and i would recommend without hesitation.

      1. Nice to see it scanning through speed distance etc. Half the price of some that are not so good. We will see in a month as to how it withstands usage.

    1. Just what i need to work on fitness levels. Great for interval training and it folds away so it doesn’t take up much room at all. Just follow instructions for assembly, if i can do it anyone can.

    1. Incredibly study for a folding machine. This was simple to fit together and runs smoothly. The only reason this didn’t get a five star is because the seat is so uncomfortable that it needed a bike seat cover.

  7. The only thing i’m not satisfied is the calorie meter. The equipment takes roughly 20-40 minutes to assemble. I found the locking nuts underneath the seat too difficult to be fastened (due to nylon lock nuts being used rather than typical lock nuts) compared to the locking nuts of other parts, and there is a limited space for you to tighten the locking nuts underneath the seat with the spanner provided inside the package, which makes it very awkward to get the seat fastened in a fully locked position. The equipment generally does its job. I’m 28 guy, a usual gym goer and i found the maximum resistance level just right. Anything below it though is too lazy. The only thing i’m not satisfied is the calorie meter. No matter which resistance level i pick, it seems the calories burning rate are the same. Using the least effort or most effort gives you the same calorie burning rate which is kinda ridiculous.

    1. – makes almost no noise even at the highest tension settings- the bike feels solidly built and firm when on the ground (i use it on a wooden floor)- saddle is comfy enough for a 30 minute session, after that will start to get uncomfortable, but then that is to be expected- very compact when folded up (approx 14×18 inches)- display is clear (batteries not included – requires 2aa)- takes about 20-30mins for initial assembly- i am 6’4 and can use this bike, though any taller then you might struggle (doubt that is many people)- the only drawback was that some washers were missing but that was clearly sorted with a quick trip to the local diy store and is probably just my package.

Good bike except for monitor which works about 50 percent of time but not problem for my use.
