Good product, awful supplier. . The product itself seems fine. Easy to put together and no issues at all so far. Only slight gripe is that the display screen could do with a backlight. All in all a good machine though. Solid, quiet and plenty of resistance for an averagely fit person like me. The supplier, on the other hand, provided the worst retail experience i’ve ever had. Missed three missed delivery slots, then delivered a machine that was already broken, then missed the collection slot, then picked it up and sent the same broken machine back to me. Three weeks of hassle from start to finish. Buy this machine but don’t buy it from sweatband.
Once put together this rower makes an impressive statement. However, when i opened the box and saw how many parts screws and washers there were i was dismayed. If i had wanted a project i wouldn’t have bought a rowing machine. My neighbour came to the rescue and put it together in about 25 minutes. The manual is not good and is not too clear. If you wear glasses you will struggle. The end result tho is a quality machine which is robust and sturdy, and will hopefully give me many years of service .

Nice quality product, good clear assembly instructions, smooth operating rower with good variation in resistance settings. After previously having had two body sculpture rowers this rower appears to be a step up in quality of build and materials, early days yet but so far very pleased.
Very pleased with this rower, we haven’t used one before so can’t compare to other brands but this one is lovely to use and looks nice for what it is too. We have ours in our lounge at present and it’s non offensive for a large piece of exercise equipment. Took me about 30 minutes to an hour to remove from packaging and put the whole thing together(with time for sipping tea in between each section). It was a doddle to set up on my own, instructions were easy to understand using the pics, corresponding screws/washers etc. Clearly labelled attached to a large piece of card which was divided into sections so as not to get parts mixed up. In use the rower is great, screen doesn’t need to be plugged which is a bonus. Yes it isn’t backlit, but it’s clear enough and certainly has all the info there i can think you’d want(again, we’re casual users). It’s surprisingly quiet in use, unlike my fathers old one which i think was air assisted and by york and made a fair old racket, smooth action with a nice comfy seat(it’s actually quite spongy, from the pic i was expecting hard plastic). Only thing i wasn’t entirely happy about was the rower we received was clearly a customer return(there were greasy finger prints and dirty marks all over the individual parts).
This is an extremely well made product. I have had mine for around 9 months and its working very well despite frequent use. Unlike previous rowers, it feels well built for the price, has a host of adjustment tention options and was easy enough to assemble. I would certainly recommend it.
Kettler Premium Magnetic Rower : Which is great, though this has got slightly worse over time. Quite a bit larger than i expected, though luckily fit in the closet as i was hoping. Really solid, weighty construction. Do keep in mind that this does require a significant amount of assembly, and some tools for large bolts and allen keys that don’t come in the package. The digital unit is a mixed bag, sometimes missing strokes (and it beeps on every stroke) and just cycles through various information way too quickly. I’m thinking about trying to disconnect a wire from the speaker to shut it up. Much quieter than air rowers i’ve used in the past, which is great, though this has got slightly worse over time as the cable squeaks against itself. Overall, would recommend this if you don’t want to spend too much, as an entry-level rower.
