Hammer Walkrunner RPE Folding Treadmill, Excellent quality for the price

Early impressions are this is a good treadmill. Assembly is straight forward if you are reasonably technicaly minded say at the level of putting together flat packed furniture. I have no idea how the treadmill will fare long term but it functions well and the motor is powerful and responsive. As running goes its a pleasure to run on. The special offer price seems very reasonable for the quality and i read in another review that parts should be available for 10 years if needed so hopefully they are right. I use the machine 3 days a week and and it helps me to control my weight and feel fitter. I feel happy with this purchase.

Excellent quality for the price. I bought this treadmill with a few reservations. I had expected one of those dodgy treadmills you get in ‘token’ hotel gyms – belt slips all of the time, stops after 5 mins etc etc. However i have been pleasantly surprised. After some work getting the belt tension correct the treadmill has performed very well. The machine does the basics well – i’ve not got it anywhere near its top speed but at 11km/hr it seems fine. It seems harder than running on the road or on gym treadmills i have used recently – i suspect i need to get my level out to check i’m not running on an incline. The incline function on the treadmill is achieved by dropping or raising a couple of supports underneath the machine. All in all a good value product for the money.

This was bought as a replacement for an expired treadmill and it arrived by hdnl in the window promised i even received a phone call from the driver 10 minutes prior to delivery, i was immediately impressed with the standard of packaging, i immediately set to putting the machine together and with the english instructions found it a breeze it took me on my own 45 minutes from unpacking to actually using the machine, the machine is constructed very well and does everything that was promised, a nice touch was that the construction was in steps and each step had it’s own bag of screws, washers etc not like others who just supply a bag of bits that you have to sort out yourself, a brilliant buy and would recommend to anyone considering purchasing.

Great product, great price and very quick delivery. Only took about 45mins to build up all the stuff in the box.

Easy to follow assembly instructions. So far so good, we use it daily for walking. Perhaps a little sophisticated for us ,but our children said ‘get a sturdy one not some rubbish cheap one’ so we didn’t.

Hammer Walkrunner RPE Folding Treadmill : The item arrived on the promised date,but when unpacked i discovered that there were no parts list,no assembly instructions and no instructions for use. Mail to amazon explaining theproblem. This was when the saga began. First response “we will come back to soon”no date. Response “we will be back to you by the agreed date,19/02/12. This wasthe first i knew of an agreed date.

  1. Top class machine and top quality – wow. It was huge and nearly 80 kgs so get the courier to locate this near to where you want it. Everything about the machine oozes quality. The packaging is sturdy, and lots of foam padding, cut outs inside for all the relevant bits and everything has a really nice heavy solid weight and well-fitting feel about it. The instructions are super easy and straight forward and i was panicking that it has electronic bits, wires etc. The instructions are perfect and the electrical bits are really simple clip together cables. The manufacturers have thought of everything to make life easy and even the cables that are routed in tubes are banded down at the end to avoid cables dropping out and causing aggro. Well, i have never put anything together that fits and slots so well into place. The nuts, bolts and fixings even come in small separate bags with a sticker “step 1” and “step 2” etc. Corresponding with the assembly instructions step numbers. I put this together in 1hr and i took my time. You may need help on the most basic element which is lifting the machine out of the base (i lifted rather than dragged as my garage floor is a little rough and i didn’t want to damage the base) but otherwise i did it alone. The hardest bit is sorting and breaking down all the packaging tbh. I bought this as a high quality machine that could take a pounding from somebody heavier.

The build quality is very sturdy but there are two bolts and one screw i have not been able to attach owing to the hole for them being too small, one of the them holds the right hand rail in place so it’s currently flapping about slightly loose. I actually took some of the thread off the bolt trying to get it ini am 6′ 1″ and can run comfortably on the surface, and the hydrolic assistance on lifting it up and down is very effective. I like the stop/start/speed buttons on the rails too, and the display is very clear (and in english). It looks and feels solid but i have no idea how to service it (oil, belt tension) thanks to german instructions, which combined with the bolts problem prevents this getting a 5 star review which it would have had otherwise. An earlier review mentions a parts list, i never got one of those included either. Maybe i got a friday afternoon model. Time to find out what their customer service is like.

    Hammer walkrunner/treadmill. The item was was correctly advertised and arrived when it was supposed to. However no one said just how heavy the total package was (i,am 15 stone of fit muscle and i struggled with this parcel). I overcame this problem by moving the package in parts. It took about half an hour to put together but when it was for the money iam really impressed at 16 kph this treadmill is really fast and believe you me it can give you a really good work out,in my mind this is a good purchase and i would recommend to everyone.

    Easy to assemble, robust, used every day since purchase by three people with no problems.
      1. This was an excellent purchase, and the staff were really helpful and delivered on a date that was suitable for me (needs an extra person to help with the unloading) as extremely heavy. The machine is very easy to use and has various programmes that give more more and difficult terrains.

    I have had this machine for over a week and everyone in the house has used it. My teenage son uses it for running and i use it for power walking every day at 6 km per hour. It appears sturdy and comes with a good booklet. It is easy to operate, with 6 pre-set speeds from 2-12 km hr and an easy up-down button to adjust the speed by 1/10 of a km with each press. The display shows you how long you have worked out, your distance, speed and calories burned. There is plenty of room for my feet to move around, (the base area is wide enough and long enough for me, although i’m not huge – but i expect it would be wide and long enough for a big person too). It comes with a full parts list if you need to order any spares (but the list is in german) i am very glad that i bought it. I think it has the quality of a much more expensive machine.

    Most impressed with the seller, activity-plus. They contacted me both by ‘phone and email to let me know the progress of my order. Treadmill arrived by fed-ex smack bang in the middle of the ‘delivery window’. Guy from fed-ex was very helpful and helped me put the box in the downstairs room i asked him to. Treadmill was very well packed. Assembly is really a two person job as some of the wired connections were a bit fiddly but i managed on my own in an hour. Treadmill is very robust and well constructed. I would have given it 5 stars but the instruction booklet is very poor.

    1. I purchased this recently through amazon. The equipment exceeded my expectations and is good value for money at less than £400/=. With membership of sports centres costing in the region of £400/= this is well within the range of the average family when one considers cost of fuel etc. In having travel to such venues.

    I purchased this recently through amazon. The equipment exceeded my expectations and is good value for money at less than £400/=. With membership of sports centres costing in the region of £400/= this is well within the range of the average family when one considers cost of fuel etc. In having travel to such venues.
